It's easier to drive, starting on the pole, according to Brad McClelland, following Saturday night's Micro Feature victory at The Greenwood Valley Action Track. Last week the Westminster, MD, resident won from deep in the pack, but, with more than 100 feature wins on area track, it's clear McClelland is a potential winner wherever he starts.

The only serious challenger this week was Jason Kemp, Bloomsburg, who finished second. Following Kemp across the line was Blane Heimbach, Selinsgrove in third, David Utt, Catawissa in fourth, and Scott Lawrence, Conklin, NY in fifth. Sixth place went to Jeff Furlong, Selinsgrove, while Brian Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, and Colby Womer, Mt. Pleasant Mills, claimed seventh and eighth. Filling out the top ten spots were, Joe Bednarski, Wyoming, and Alan Krimes.

In the Rookie Micro Sprint Feature, Ross Perchak, Hazelton, also demonstrated the value of starting up front as he led from the pole to pick up his second feature win of the season. Eric Eckert, Bristol, worked throughout the race to find a way around Perchak, but finally settling for the second when the checkered flag waved. Jason Wagner came home third while Chad Thomas, New Berlin, was fourth, and Scott Tate, Middleburg, was fifth. Berwick resident, Lee Benjamin, crossed the line in sixth, Brian Wawroski, Bloomsburg was seventh, and Tom Michaelesko, Freeland, was eighth. In ninth place was C.J. Jones, Hellertown, and in tenth, and Glen Walp from Wapwallopen.

The 1100cc Mini Sprints came to visit The Action Track again this week. Dale Pitcher, Warren Center, won the dash to the finish line with Jeff Paulson, Honey Brook, second, and Greg Deets, Hazelton, third.

The Points Totals will be posted at The Action Track's web site early this week, and announced next weekend's Show. Congratulations to all of the drivers and teams who have competed this year!.
