When pace setter Ross Perchak lost power in the Regular Micro Sprint Feature at The Greenwood Valley Action Track, David Utt, Catawissa, charged into the lead and held on to finish ahead of Jeff Furlong, Selinsgrove, and Perchak, who nursed his broken car across the finish line in the third place. Scott Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, took fourth, followed by Todd Hoover, Mt. Pleasant Mills, making his first start since moving up from the Rookie Micro Series. Sixth spot was captured by Brian Kishbaugh, Nescopeck, seventh by Colby Womer, Mt. Pleasant Mills, and eighth by Jason Rice, New Tripoli. Steve Lenig, Selinsgrove, claimed ninth, and Sean Good, Middleburg, was tenth.

In the Sportsman 250cc Micro Sprint Points Finale, Colby Womer, Mt. Pleasant Mills, scored a victory followed by Hoss Uhrin, Freeland, and Rob Pajauis, Asbury, NJ. Rick Morris, Catawissa, managed a fourth place finish, Vinny Ferraro, North Plainfield, NJ, was fifth, Jared Schall, Hackettstown, NJ, was sixth, and Jeff Black of Sunbury finished seventh in the small field.

Berwick's Lee Benjamin took the checkered flag in the Rookie Micro Sprint Feature ahead of A.J. Bast and Jake Starr, Millville. Dillon Stein, Auburn, took fourth and Dusty Jagger, Port Crane, NY, was fifth. Sixth place was taken by Matt Miller, Sunbury, seventh by Jesse Remensnyder, Mocanaqua, eighth was Mike Burke, Orwigsburg, ninth place was Deb Arner, Berwick, and in tenth place was Tony Slusser, Bloomsburg.

The Points Chase ended Saturday night. Claiming the Season Championship in the Regular Micro Sprint Division was Jeff Furlong. Colby Womer and Shane Penny claimed second and third. Closing out the 2001 Season as Sportsman Champion was Colby Womer, with 12 seasons wins, followed by John Uhrin and Rick Morris.

With the Points Race over and the premium no longer on finishing, we can expect another month of wheel-to-wheel action at The Action Track. Located 3 1/2 miles east of Millville (turn right on Oriole Rd. and right again at Bottom Rd) The Action Track is still the place to be for the finest in dirt track competition. See you at The Action Track.
