The winning trophy in the Micro Sprint 270cc division at The Greenwood Valley Action Track went, once again, to Brian Kishbaugh, Nescopeck. Kishbaugh started the evening on the pole and was not challenged seriously for the lead throughout the accident filled race. No one was injured, and most of the cars could remain running. In the second spot was Jason Rice, New Tripoli, third to Jeff Furlong, Selinsgrove, fourth to Eric Heydenreich, Bloomsburg, and fifth to Denny Rinehimer, Bloomsburg. In sixth through tenth spots were A.J. Walters, Bloomsburg; Scott Kishbaugh, Nescopeck; Jason Kemp, Bloomsburg; Brian Marriott, Harrisburg, and Colby Womer, Mt. Pleasant Mills.

The Sportsman Micro Sprint Feature race was taken by Chad Thomas, New Berlin, while Rick Morris, Catawissa, held on to second. In the third spot was Chop Slusser, Bloomsburg, fourth was Jim Reese, Bloomsburg, and in fifth was Ralph Ferraro, North Plainfield, NJ. Rounding out the field were Brian Fox, Bloomsburg, and a new arrival to The Action Track, Dave Fulton.

In the Rookie Micro Sprint action Phil Weinsteiger, Green Lane, was the winner with Timmy Buckwalter, Douglassville, in second place. A.J. Bast was third and Larry Sauers, Allenwood, was fourth and Ralph Ferraro, North Plainfield, NJ, was fifth. Rounding out the top ten were Terry Schane, Hamlin; Mike Burke, Cressona; Josh Blyler; Tammy Schane, Hamlin, and Deb Arner, Berwick.

The Slingshots by Tobias Tour 2002 came to The Action Track Saturday night with 19 cars. Fourteen year old Ryan Smith, Kunklestown, was the winner followed by Jay Hartman, Joey Funk, III; Jeff Hartman; Ryan Taylor; Ryan Osborn; Sean Markel, Rich Raidline, Scott Pettis and Joe Funk, Jr.

Be sure to join your friends and fellow racing fans next Saturday night for another round of racing at The Greenwood Valley Action Track, located 3 1/2 miles east of Millville just south of route 254. Gates open at 3:30 and the action gets underway at 5. See you at The Action Track.
