MRP, Palm Beach announce December karting clinic

11.03.2010 (PALM BEACH, Fla.) - Palm Beach International Raceway, in conjunction with MRP Speed Schools, has announced an intensive two-day karting clinic to be held at MRP@PBIR on December 11-12, 2010. The clinic, designed specifically for intermediate to advanced karters, was created to give racers increased mechanical knowledge of their racing karts while also improving their driving skill, race-craft and focus. The two-day program provides more value for the money by combining many lessons from various MRP Speed Schools into one two-day course. The curriculum will be inclusive of all things not normally covered in introductory courses or shared by competitors. Curriculum will include the following topics:

* Chassis Dynamics and Tuning

* Hands-On Mechanics Course and Training

* Mental & Physical Focus and Preparation

* Driving Techniques and Theory

* Race Craft Theory and Techniques

* Advanced one-on-one driving instruction

* Data Acquisition Analysis (where applicable)

* Rotax Driving technique tips

Marc Miller, a professional race driver/instructor and championship winning kart racer, will be leading the clinic. Miller has won karting championships in WKA, road-racing, oval-karting, shifter karts and Rotax competitions or series and most recently acts as driver coach, engineer and data acquisition engineer in professional motorsports. "We have now completed several of these clinics successfully and given the winter season have decided to offer continued clinics in the warm weather offered in Florida at a great facility like PBIR," said Miller. "We continue to fine-tune this course to benefit the intermediate to advanced kart racers. The event is planned for a mid-December weekend right after the PRI show to hopefully offer a convenient destination even if potential customers are not Florida residents." More instructors will be added depending on the number of participants. A dinner as well as lunches for each day will be included in the price. An included bonus in the price is the fact the fee includes both driver and their parent/mechanic as the curriculum is designed to educate both on mechanical, mental and communication aspects of karting. "I have researched several karting schools and clinics and have yet to discover any as in-depth as what we are offering for the price." continued Miller. "This clinic is specifically intended to develop all aspects of skills including mechanical and mental in additional to racecraft." For more information, pricing and the clinic outline/schedule, contact Marc Miller at news@mrpmotorsport.com or Rony Miron at rony@mrpmotorsport.com.
