Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada - Michael Romeo, 17, is on the fast track to a Pro Racing Career. After winning the World Karting Association (WKA) Championship in the Yamaha class, and finishing in the top five in 2 other classes; Michael has shown his talents as a top driver. Skip Barber scouted Michael to be a part of the Barber Dodge National Series.
Michael proved himself worthy of the scholarship based on being "1999 Driver Of The Year" combined with his many wins over the past 7 years of Karting PLUS this years National Championship. Skip Barber asked Romeo to attend a driver test day, where Michael proved to be the fastest of the group. Comments from other Pro Racers in attendance, said they were quite impressed with Michael's performance both on and off the track.
February 7 & 8th at Sebring Raceway, Sebring, Florida will tell the story for Michael's racing future. He will test with other Pro Racers for a fully paid seat in the Barber Dodge National Series. From what we've seen - we have the highest expectations to see Michael in this Pro Racing series.
