As revealed by Motorsport.com last Saturday, Kazuki Nakajima is highly likely to take part in the test day and race with the No.1 Toyota TS 040 HYBRID. Motorsport.com understands that Kamui Kobayashi is scheduled to join Toyota GAZOO Racing’s pre-Le Mans test at Spa next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Of the other entries in LMP1, both Rebellion Racing ORECA-AER entries are confirmed alongside the ByKolles car which now has former Jordan F1 driver Tiago Monteiro aboard.

In LMP2 the new BR01 design to be campaigned by SMP Racing confirms its drivers with the No.27 comprising the triple M’s of Minassian/Mediani and Markozov and the No.37 running with Mikhail Aleshin and the two Ladygin brothers – Anton and Kiril.

There is plenty of US interest in the LMGTE classes with Jeff Segal joining Townsend Bell and Bill Sweedler in Scuderia Corsa’s all-American No. 62 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari F458 Italia.

British racer Alex Kapadia, who starred in a spectacular cameo for Murphy Prototypes in last years ELMS opener at Silverstone, gets to realize his Le Mans dream with the Team AAI entered Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. A second entry for the Taiwanese entered squad sees Gilles Vannelet and Mike Parisy join Han-Chen Chen, in the newer Porsche 911 RSR.

On the reserve list KCMG has confirmed Christian Klien alongside Japanese pair Satoshi Hoshno and Tomonobu Fujii. Klien is in discussions with the Hong Kong entered, German based team for their second ORECA 05-Nissan in the remainder of the WEC.

The second third reserves are Formula Racing’s Ferrari 458 Italia and the winners of the Silverstone ELMS LMGTE class, Gulf Racing with its Porsche.

Accidents apart, Motorsport.com understands that are not likely to be any clear opportunities for these three to race next month.
