Greaves Motorsport, the 2015 European Le Mans Series Champions, are pleased to announce the first element of their driver line-up for the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours after agreeing terms with the top young professional endurance driver, Alex Brundle. Alex made his Le Mans debut in 2012 with the team, driving with his father, Martin, and Lucas Ordonez, the inaugural GT Academy winner.

Alex will drive the team’s Nissan-powered Gibson 015S, a development of the chassis that he campaigned with the team in the 2012 season. The identity of his team-mates will be announced in the coming weeks.

Alex was naturally very up beat to be part of the team once at the world’s greatest motor race. ‘I’m really delighted to be rejoining Greaves Motorsport to attack this year’s 24 hour of Le Mans with the support of our long term partners Richard Mille. Tim and Jacob, alongside Nissan, gave me my first shot at Le Mans back in 2012 so I’m really excited to be returning with them to this incredible event.

We are bringing a proven team, chassis, tyre and engine combination to the race, so I’m confident we can run at the front.

The team have some very exciting plans for the race and the line-up, so I can’t wait to see those come to fruition and get working to produce a winning car in pre season testing.’

Jacob Greaves, Team Principal: “All of us here at Greaves Motorsport are really pleased to welcome Alex back for the Le Mans 24 Hours. Since our season together in 2012 he has developed into a top rank racing driver with experience competing all over the globe. The LM P2 class will be extremely competitive at Le Mans this June, it always is, but with drivers of the caliber of Alex and our well-proven combination of Nissan engine, Gibson chassis and Dunlop Tyres we are confident that we will be on.
