Ho-Pin Tung to race again in 24 Hours Le Mans

For the third consecutive year Ho-Pin Tung will compete in legendary 24 hours race of Le Mans.

Shanghai - Dutch-Chinese racing driver Ho-Pin Tung will compete in legendary 24 hours race of Le Mans, at the French Circuit de la Sarthe, 13th thru 14 June, for the third consecutive year. Today agreements were signed by Total Lubricants China, the Pegasus Racing Team and two of the three racing drivers were introduced: Ho-Pin Tung and David Cheng. Third driver will be young Frenchman Leo Roussel.

Ho-Pin Tung and David Cheng are successful endurance racers; they became champion in the Asian Le Mans Series two years in a row. Ho-Pin Tung competed twice at the holy grounds of Le Mans, last year he scored a solid result in the ultimate wear battle in motor racing by finishing 7th. The Pegasus Racing Team Total will also take part in the 2015 Shanghai 6 hours World Endurance Championship race, November 1st.

Morgan-Nissan LMP2-car

At Le Mans and Shanghai the formation will field the Morgan - Nissan LMP2-car, built by Onroak Automotive. Objectives are far from modest. Total expects a top-5 classification and hopes for a podium finish in the LMP-2 class. The Pegasus Team also aims at a top classification, showing their confidence in the drivers line up and the car.

Ho-Pin Tung stated right after the signing ceremony: "Obviously I will use all my Le Mans experience for a maximum result, as it is exciting and challenging in it self to compete at legendary Le Mans again. The fact that this formation also appears in the 6 hours of Shanghai, November 1st, shows the confidende there is among all partners in the drivers, the team and the car."
