Ray Mallock Reunited with Aston Martin Nimrod
RML Managing Director Ray Mallock returns to Le Mans as a driver for the first time since 1989 driving the Roger Bennington owned Aston Martin Nimrod in the Group C GTP Motor Racing Legends Event held on the Saturday morning prior to the 24 hour race.
Ray will be reacquainting himself with the RML developed Aston Martin Nimrod which he last raced in 1984 as part of the semi works Aston Martin two car team. Ray and his co-driver Drake Olson put in a strong performance during that race, running as high as 5th position before an accident on the Mulsanne Straight put both works cars out of the race.
Ray's RML team will be racing in the 24 hour race with the MG Lola EX 257 driven by Tommy Erdos, Mike Newton and Nathan Kinch.
Ray Mallock commented "Whilst my priority for the weekend will be overseeing the MG in the 24 hour race I am really looking forward to driving on the circuit again in a car that was an important part of my driving career and RML's development".
