SWISS SPIRIT ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH PETROL OFISI FOR LE MANS 24 HOURS

The Swiss Spirit team, which is to compete in the premier LMP1 category of the famous Le Mans 24 Hour race next weekend (June 17th and 18th), is delighted to announce a new partnership deal with Turkish petrol supplier and world leader in oil and lubricants, Petrol Ofisi.

The deal will see Petrol Ofisi join and support the team at Le Mans for what will be the 74th running of this enormously prestigious motor race.

Petrol Ofisi are by no means new to motorsport and are already involved at the highest level thank to their sponsorship of the Turkish Formula 1 Grand Prix and of Giancarlo Fisichella's GP2 team, FMS.

Claude Nahum, CEO of Petrol Ofisi: "For sometime now we have been working hard to build our presence in the highest level of world motor racing. With our current involvement in Formula 1 through our title sponsorship of the Grand Prix of Istanbul, and our support of the FMS team in GP2, it was natural for us to consider an involvement in the biggest endurance race in the world. We are delighted to be joining Swiss Spirit which has proved itself already to be a potent force at the highest level of sportscar racing, despite its youth. Their dominant pole position in Spa and second place finish marked their intentions and I expect them to be strong contenders at Le Mans. I look forward to enjoying our association with them."

Serge Saulnier, Swiss Spirit Team Manager: "I am proud to welcome a partner such stature as Petrol Ofisi to our team. Le Mans is a first for both of our organisations and we hope that the hard work done by the team and its technical partners will allow us to really exploit the potential of our Courage/Judd/Michelin package. The result in Spa has set us on a nice path to Le Mans, but the real test awaits us next week. We are all really looking forward to the challenge."
