Chili Bowl Ticket Renewal Deadline Draws Near

TULSA, Okla. (May 7, 2009) -- While the 2009 racing season is just getting up to full swing in most parts of the country, it's never too soon to start making plans for 2010. Especially when those plans include the 24th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire.

And with demand for tickets already at record levels, Chili Bowl ticket holders are reminded that the deadline for renewal is just a couple of short weeks away with May 22 the cutoff date to retain seats held during the 2009 edition of the Chili Bowl Nationals.

The 24th edition of the prestigious event held indoors atop the QuikTrip Center's 0x00bc-mile Tulsa Expo Raceway clay oval is set for January 12-16, 2010. Tickets for four nights (Wednesday through Saturday) are just $185 apiece, with tickets for all five nights of intense competition available for $211. A $1 per ticket handling charge is applied if paying by credit card.

Any tickets not renewed by the May 22 deadline will be filled by new orders on a first-come, first-served basis, with new orders accepted at any time. New orders will only be filled based upon availability, increasing the impetus upon placing new orders as early as possible.

Tickets are available by calling the Chili Bowl ticket office at 918-838-3777 or online at www.chilibowl.com.

Earlier this year, Sammy Swindell kicked off the 2009 season by capturing an unprecedented fifth Golden Driller trophy, besting a record field of 281 competitors from throughout the nation and beyond in the process.

The veteran Germantown, TN, racer is one of just four drivers to earn multiple Chili Bowl triumphs, with Tony Stewart, Cory Kruseman and Dan Boorse each posting two event wins. Another dozen drivers have claimed one Chili Bowl triumph including Damion Gardner, Tim McCreadie, Tracy Hines, Jay Drake, Billy Boat, Donnie Beechler, Andy Hillenburg, Dave Blaney, Lealand McSapdden, Jon Heydenreich, Scott Hatton and Rich Vogler.

Additional information regarding the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire is available by calling 918-838-3777 or at www.chilibowl.com.
