Blue Grass, IA (July 14, 2001) - Robbie Ray lead every lap of the Winged Three-Quarter Midget Association feature event at the Hawkeye Raceway in Blue Grass, IA Saturday, July 14, 2001. Following Ray to the checkered was current WTQMA points leader Mike Raymond and the winner of the first WTQMA event at Hawkeye Raceway this season Jeff Mallonee.

The first heat of the night went to Mallonee who started from the pole. Following him was Bart Andrews and rookie of the year contender Brian Landry.

The second heat of the night was a thriller with Raymond and Ray battling side by side early. Raymond eventually was able to get by Ray and take home the win. Rod Thompson, Scott Ewart and Doug Larsen all battled for the third position.

At the start of the feature Ray jumped out to the lead and began lapping cars on the sixth lap. Raymond was able to get by Mallonee and Andrews to fall into second early. Other battles raged on within the field with a great battle forming between Alex Coonan, Richard Vandranen and Rick Baxter. The three never separated the entire race. Ray held on to the lead and took his third feature win this season.

WTQMA Feature (15 laps): 1. Robbie Ray, 2. Mike Raymond, 3. Jeff Mallonee, 4. Bart Andrews, 5. Rod Thompson, 6. Brian Landry, 7. Scott Ewart, 8. Doug Larsen, 9. Rick Baxter, 10. Richard Vandranen, 11. Alex Coonan
