The team announced Czech Republic's Jakub Kornfeil and Finalnd's Patrik Pulkkinen as its riders for the new season.

Kornfeil, 23, currently races for the Drive M7 SIC team and sits 10th in the standings with 83 points, while Pulkkinen, 15, competed in the Road to Rookies Cup, finishing 14th overall.

"We were looking for an experienced rider, who is able to finish constantly at the Top 10", said Florian Prustel, GM of the team.

"With Jakub we found such a rider. He is not only a constant rider with a lot of experience, he is also able to finish on the podium and able to win races.

"The fifteen-year-old Patrik Pulkkinen completes the team. The young Finn is currently racing at the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

"He already showed his talent in 2014 as he won the European Moriwaki MDH 250 Junior Cup. Since 2015 Patrick is racing within the fringe events of the MotoGP at the Red Bull Rookies Cup," he added.

Elaborating on the reasons to hire such a young rider, he said: "We are looking at Patrik a for a considerable time. We were testing with him a lot at Aragon and the results were convincing.

"Together with the team and alongside Jakub he will be able to learn a lot and to develop his talent and potential.“

The team currently uses bikes from Indian manufacturer Mahindra and fields Brno race winner John McPhee and Albert Arenas, the latter had replaced Alexis Masbou midway in the season.

Further, it is believed that Peugeot will continue using the MGP3O bikes alongside Aspar and CIP for the next season.
