Keith Flint joins Rizla Suzuki for Asian MotoGP adventure

Rizla Suzuki had an honorary new team-member for the recent Japanese and Malaysian Grands Prix as Keith Flint, front-man of the world's most hardcore dance band 'The Prodigy', joined the crew for the trip.

Flint was very excited to take a 'MotoGP holiday' at the end of what has been an intensive three years of touring with 'The Prodigy'. He enjoyed getting involved in the garage, carefully watching the team in action and became the crew's tea and coffee provider of choice for the busy mechanics.

Flint was also able to discuss racing lines around Motegi, Sepang and other circuits with ex-Suzuki Grand Prix racer Randy Mamola -- who provides high-speed pillion rides for the 'Riders for Health' charity at most of the tracks throughout the season. He was also to be found giving countless interviews with TV stations from around the globe as well as getting to know stars from MotoGP, including nine-times World Champion Valentino Rossi, who revealed himself as a fan and sought out Flint to have their photo taken together!

Having now returned to the UK with Rizla Suzuki Team Manager Paul Denning - and acting as bag carrier due to the latter's incapacity caused by his broken leg and ankle! - Flint will continue with the work he has planned with 'The Prodigy', which includes beginning work in the New Year on their latest album. He is also hoping to take some time-out next month and re-acquaint himself with the Rizla Suzuki team in Valencia for the final round of the year, before visiting Spain again shortly afterwards to tackle the fantastic Jerez circuit on his own race-prepared Suzuki GSX-R.

Keith Flint:

"I've had a mega time with the boys at Rizla Suzuki and they all made me really welcome. I managed to pick up quite a few tips and insights that will help with my own riding when I use my Suzuki GSX-R at track-days in the future. I've been to Grands Prix before, but these two races gave me a whole new insight to what the teams do. I was only watching what was happening, but I left the track every day absolutely exhausted, so I just don't know how these guys do it! I hope that my tea-making services were up to GP standard, as I hope to be invited back to join the team again in the future!"
