FIRST RUN-OUT FOR DE PUNIET ON BRIDGESTONE TYRES

In sunny and hot conditions, LCR Honda MotoGP rider Randy de Puniet finished 11th overall on the first day of testing at the Rircardo Tormo circuit.

After yesterday's GP of the Comunitat Valenciana which saw Stoner on the top of the podium, the MotoGP teams and riders had an additional first day of on-track work at the Spanish circuit.

The 800cc riders have enjoyed good conditions with little wind, blue skies and ambient temperature of 26o.C and the former Michelin riders including Randy have experienced the Bridgestone rubber following the new tyres regulations for next season.

The Frenchman aboard the Honda RC212V clocked his best lap time of 1'33.832.

De Puniet -- 11th: "It was an interesting first run-out on Bridgestone tyres. We made 80 laps and was a very demanding test session for me because my wrist still aches a lot. However I feel pretty satisfied because had a good feeling in the front. We tried only two rear spec. tyres for this test and it seems that I need the harder ones to suit my riding style but this was a positive beginning for us. I won't test tomorrow because it's better to preserve my wrist for the next test on the new bike".
