Successful start for Karel Abraham as he finishes tenth in the FP
Trying to find the perfect set-up of Ducati Desmosedici GP11, Cardion AB Motoracing rider Karel Abraham set a best time of 2:03,318 in the free practice session and eventually finished in tenth position, just 2,068 seconds behind the fastest rider Dani Pedrosa.
Although the weather conditions were getting worse over time, Karel Abraham improved his best lap time from the first free practice by 1,027 seconds in the second free practice taking place under the temperatures soared to well over thirty degrees, and finished in tenth position.
„While the temperature was increasing, the conditions at the track were getting worse in every single lap and the heat became uncomfortable,“ the twenty one years old rider, who completed 26 laps on board his motorcycle, said.
Finishing just 0,006 seconds behind Ben Spies, the Czech rider continued: „I’m satisfied with the result of the practice sessions. I was able to stay in contact with a few factory riders and finished right behind them.“
Technical data, which the mechanics of the Cardion AB Motoracing team gathered at the 5 548 m circuit during the winter test, Karel Abraham used to improve the set-up of Ducati Desmosedici GP11.
„We have used the set-up which we worked on during the test. We made some changes and eventually finished in tenth position, but we still believe that we can produce even better performance and we are determined to be even faster. We want to make some changes and then we will see,“ added.
