The 2018 MotoGP season begins this weekend at Qatar's Losail International Circuit. We run you through the 24-strong grid.

11 countries will have a representation in MotoGP next year, with Spain continuing to lead the charts with no fewer than nine riders. Five Italians will be on the grid, while three riders will be from the UK.

There will only be a single rider from France following the departure of Loris Baz, while Belgium, Switzerland and Japan would again have a representation in the premier class.

A Malaysian rider will be present on the MotoGP grid for the first time in 2018 following Tech 3's decision to sign Hafizh Syahrin as a replacement for the injures Jonas Folger.

Despite the arrival of five new riders, Suzuki's Alex Rins will remain the youngest rider on the 2018 grid. The Spaniard was born in 1995, when Valentino Rossi was 16-year-old!
