“We are excited to once again provide Canadian racing fans with a wide variety of events featuring some of the top North American series’,” said Myles Brandt, president and general manager at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

“Our events will continue to provide the best value for families as we continue to offer free admission to those 16 years of age and under, with the purchase of an adult ticket. The addition of that family-friendly initiative in 2016 was well received and helped the sport reach our younger fan base.”

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is located near Bowmanville, Ontario, about a one-hour drive East of Toronto.

The Castrol presents the Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend will once again kick-off Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s racing season May 19-21, with the thundering stock cars of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series as well as all classes of the exciting Pirelli World Challenge Championship, highlighting the unofficial kick-off to the summer.

The 2017 VARAC Vintage Grand Prix, featuring beautifully restored race cars from the past 50+ years of motorsport will take to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s legendary circuit on June 16-18. The 38th annual vintage racing festival will feature the Diamond Jubilee Formula Junior World Tour, special feature races for MG and Triumph and much more.

Canada’s biggest sports car race of the year, the SportsCar Grand Prix, will showcase the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship on July 6-9. North America’s top sports car teams and drivers in all four classes – Prototype (P), Grand Touring Le Mans (GTLM), Prototype Challenge (PC) and Grand Touring Daytona (GTD), will be joined by other top Series’ such as the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, Mazda Prototype Lites presented by Cooper Tires and others to be announced at a later date.

The nation’s top motorcycle riders will return on August 18-20 for the Canadian Superbike Doubleheader Weekend. National classes such as Mopar Pro Superbike, Pro Sport Bike, Amateur Superbike, Amateur Sport Bike and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 Race Series will all be on track for the Canada’s biggest motorcycle race of the year.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Pinty’s Series highlight the final major event of the season, the Chevrolet Silverado 250 on September 1-3.

“As Canada celebrates its sesquicentennial in 2017, we at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park will be celebrating milestones such as the 50th anniversary of the inaugural Canadian F1 Grand Prix,” added Brandt. “We’ll no doubt be adding to our rich history as we play host to some of the best drivers in the world.”
