The Castrol Presents the Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend is an action-packed weekend features exciting racing from six series and a full slate of family friendly activities.

The event will mark the start of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series competing in the Clarington 200 with fierce competitors such as Alexandre Tagliani, Gary Klutt, Andrew Ranger, Cole Powell, the Dumoulin brothers(JF and LP), DJ Kennington and Kevin Lacroix.

Also in action will be the exotic sports cars of the Pirelli World Challenge Championship, the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama, the Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Pirelli, the Nissan Micra Cup Series and the Radical Challenge.

“Since we took over the place in June 2011, we spent a lot of money in the off seasons to do some major upgrades,” said Ron Fellows, Co-Owner of Canadian Tire Motorsport Park to Motorsport.com.

“It will be an awesome weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Every year the crowds are getting bigger. It’s good to see the level of support that we continue to get corporally. Canadian Tire continues to enhance the infield experience with their Action Zone, with lots of activities for families to do.”

Myles Brandt, President and General Manager, CTMP said: “It’s great to finally see we’re into spring and getting our 57th year underway with the Castrol, Victoria Day SpeedFest weekend. We’ve had a busy off-season and we’re looking forward to what will be an exciting kick-off to our season of racing action, both on and off the track.”

There will be plenty for fans to see and do off-track as well with the family-friendly Canadian Tire Action Zone, the CTMP Marketplace (featuring a variety of vendors - some interactive) and Driver Autograph sessions. A special highlight is the traditional Victoria Day weekend fireworks display on Saturday evening.
