Fastline Motorsports drivers prepare for new national NASCAR series

Hamilton-based team to compete in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series

HAMILTON, Ontario (October 20, 2006) -- Finally! After several years of negotiations and due diligence NASCAR and CASCAR have joined together, and several of the race teams putting on the greatest show in Canadian racing now have the opportunity to be part of this great merger.

Fastline Motorsports team drivers Jeff and Jim Lapcevich are an important part of a solid and competitive racing effort that rivals other major teams in the old CASCAR Super Series. With many years in this racing arena, Fastline will now focus on the new NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, which will be presented across Canada in a 12-race schedule for 2007.

The Hamilton-based team believes the new NASCAR association in this established racing series will provide more momentum than ever before for positive marketing programs.

"We have the equipment and the team to win races and contend for the championship in 2007," said team driver Jim Lapcevich, who resides in Grimsby, Ontario. "Canadian Tire should be commended for coming on board and supporting racing in the country, they are a great Canadian company."

The loyalty of auto racing fans and participants is second to none when it comes to their sport, and the companies associated with their sport. There is an opportunity to create a powerful national marketing platform reaching millions of people, along with solid brand awareness for distributors, dealers, customers, clients, spectators and competitors. Also by becoming a Fastline Motorsports Team Sponsor, there are a host of client hospitality opportunities in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

"Over the last three years we have won six events," explained Jeff Lapcevich, of Caistor Center, Ontario. "That's a pretty good average and we plan to keep it rolling with the new NASCAR series."

The series will receive support from NASCAR's extensive resources, including competition, research and development, marketing, licensing, and communications. A dedicated staff will operate this new series. NASCAR Canada will also provide additional assistance with sponsorship, brand licensing, and media initiatives. A recent survey of NASCAR fans found that 72 percent consciously purchase products due to a company's relationship with the sport.
