BOURQUE THROTTLES INTO MONTREAL

Ottawa, ON (August 24, 2010) NASCAR driver Pierre Bourque is coming off a solid showing in his last event of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and with this weekend's race on the famed Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal Bourque is expecting more of the same success.

Last year at the picturesque track on Ille Notre Dame, Bourque scored what was until this season his best series result with a seventh place finish. "Everything went right for us last year" said Bourque "And I believe that our DJK Racing prepared #00 Telus Dodge and this team can give us an even better result this weekend" he added.

Following a couple of disappointing results due to other drivers issues Bourque and the #00 Telus Dodge team came back strong a week ago and got their season back on track. "We were victims a couple of times, but nobody on this team ever gave up" he stated. "We were tested both mentally and physically, we've put the disappointments behind us, and now we're looking forward to achieving what we know the team is capable of".

The bounce back last week moved Bourque back up to eleventh in the overall Canadian championship standings and with another expected strong run he should be back inside the top-ten. "It was just a couple of tough luck situations that knocked us out" said the driver. "This team has performed well, I've been learning a lot at every track we've raced at this year, and I'm confident we'll be there this weekend" he added.
