DILLEY FINISHES EIGHTH IN VELOCITY PRAIRIE THUNDER 250

SASKATOON, SK, Thursday Aug. 5, 2010: Mark Dilley driver of the No. 9 Leland/PartSource Dodge battled an overheating problem during the Velocity Prairie Thunder 250 on Wednesday night at Auto Clearing Speedway and finished in 8th.

After practicing 11th quickest the team went to work to make some changes to the Leland/PartSource Dodge which helped them qualify better with the 9th quickest time. Dilley would line up in the 5th row on the inside for the start of the 250 lap main event.

The Leland/PartSource Dodge would run in the top ten for most of the race. A long green flag run had Dilley working hard to stay on the lead lap but an overheating problem would see them fall victim to the leaders. With only three caution periods throughout the race the opportunity to be the recipient of the "free pass" for lapped cars didn't materialize. Dilley was credited as being the first car down one lap in eighth at the end of the race. "We struggled tonight but for a long period of time we were as fast as the leaders but once the engine overheated we had to baby it a bit," said Dilley. "Want to thank my crew who worked really hard today as they do every weekend and Leland Industries who brought out a large number of guests to this event to cheer us on."

Dilley remains in seventh in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Point Standings.

Next up for the No. 9 Dickies/PartSource team will be the Grand Prix de Trois Rivieres in Quebec on Aug. 15th.
