OTTAWA, ONTARIO (July 28, 2009) -- The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series is set for a night of firsts on Wednesday evening at Saskatoon's Auto Clearing Motor Speedway, and Pierre Bourque and No. 29 Aaron's Dream Machine Dodge will be part of the history-making event.

The series will be making its first-ever visit to the new 1/3-mile, progressively banked speedway, located just north of Saskatchewan's largest city. In addition to being the series' inaugural appearance in Saskatchewan, it also marks the first time Canada's NASCAR tour will contest a race during the middle of the week.

"I'm really looking forward to racing the Aaron's Dream Machine in Saskatoon on Wednesday evening," said Bourque, who finished 12th in Saturday's NASCAR Canadian Tire Series road course event during the Rexall Edmonton Indy. "This will be our third race in less than two weeks and I'm especially looking to apply what we learned on the oval in Vernon, BC on July 18. We had some hard lessons that night (Bourque finished 14th at Vernon's SunValley Speedway) and we're looking to improve on that result on Wednesday."

Bourque continued, "The people of Saskatchewan have really embraced this event; I understand the race is completely sold out. That's exciting for us as racers and I'm also pleased to be competing there as Aaron's has store locations in Saskatoon and Prince Albert, which allows us to promote Aaron's in another one of their growing markets."

The Ottawa resident is also enthused about continuing his education and fundraising campaign on behalf of Canada's Military Families Fund. Bourque has made numerous media appearances in support of the MFF during the series' western swing and is looking forward to doing more of the same in Saskatoon.
