WEATHER POSTPONES TIDE 250 UNTIL SUNDAY
Villeneuve Debut To Wait A Day

SAINT EUSTACHE, Que. -- A large weather system moved into the area at midday, with no relief in sight, and forced the postponement of the Tide 250 at Autodrome St. Eustache. The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 event is set to take the green flag at 2 p.m. ET Sunday afternoon.

The weather system is expected to bring high winds and heavy rain later this afternoon. It is, however, forecast to clear the area overnight. Sunday's forecast calls for clear skies, no chance of precipitation and mild temperatures.

The schedule for Sunday has practice slated for 10 a.m. with time trials shortly thereafter. Spectator gates will open at 9 a.m.

In the Tide 250, former Formula One world champion and Indy 500 winner Jacques Villeneuve will make his NASCAR Canadian Tire Series debut.
