VERNON, B.C. (Aug. 2, 2010) -- Scott Steckly collected his first victory of the 2010 season in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series competition when he won the Cruisin' The Dub 300 at Motoplex Speedway. It marked Steckly's eighth career win in the series.
Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the series, supplying the same line of bias-ply Goodyear Eagles it stocks for NASCAR's K&N Pro Series East and West. The three series are a part of NASCAR's Driver Development Program, along with the NASCAR Mexico Series.
Steckly led twice in the last 100 laps of the race, including the final 46. He averaged 68.803 mph over the race distance around the half-mile facility.
Jason Hathaway finished second. D.J. Kennington was third, followed by Don Thomson Jr. and Mark Dilley.
Kennington won the pole with a lap of 99.075 mph during time trials and went on to lead the race four times for a total of 196 laps before finishing third.
