BAM RACING ANNOUNCES FULL-TIME DRIVER CHANGE FOR REMAINDER OF SEASON

John Andretti to drive for No. 49 team effective at Michigan International Speedway

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 13, 2007) -- In an ongoing effort to increase the competitive level of the No. 49 team, BAM Racing announced today that John Andretti will drive the Paralyzed Veterans Dodge for the remainder of the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series season beginning at Michigan International Speedway.

Andretti has two wins, 13 top-five and 37 top-10 finishes along with four pole positions in series competition. Throughout his career, he has an average starting position of 22.3 and an average finish of 24.3. Previously this year, Andretti raced for Petty Enterprises in several events.

"We have made significant changes across the board in the past weeks to improve our overall program," said team owner Beth Ann Morgenthau. "With the pressures of qualifying on time, and our commitment to our sponsors, we felt that an immediate change was necessary. We have every confidence in the team we have assembled and are committed to racing each and every week."

About BAM Racing

BAM Racing was formed by Beth Ann and Tony Morgenthau in 2001, and enters its sixth season in NASCAR Nextel Cup racing as one of the series' few single-car teams. Successful investors, the Morgenthaus have funded the team from its inception, and began generating corporate sponsorship support on a full-time basis in 2004. Beth Ann Morgenthau, whose initials make up the name of BAM Racing, continues to be the only hands-on female owner in motorsports to have started a team without family connections. At a time when some of the sport's most decorated teams are ceasing operations, BAM Racing continues to strive forward and reach its goals. For more information, visit www.bamracing.com.
