Blaney added to Tommy Baldwin Racing for Daytona

Dave Blaney will jump back into the No. 36 Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) Chevrolet and is set qualify for the season-opener Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) on Sunday, February 20.

TBR AT DAYTONA -- TBR made four starts at DIS in its two years of competition. The team's best finish came last year in the 2010 Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway when Steve Park drove the No. 36 to a 13th-place finish. TBR's best start of 17th came in the team's Daytona 500 in 2009.

BLANEY AT DAYTONA -- Blaney will attempt to make his 21st start at DIS. His best start of fourth at the famed superspeedway came in 2000 when he drove the Bill Davis No. 93. His best finish of 14th at the 2.5-mile track came in 2005 while driving the Richard Childress Racing No. 07 Chevrolet.

REUNITED -- Blaney will reunite with his Bill Davis crew chief Tommy Baldwin once again. Baldwin was Blaney's crew chief for two seasons before starting his own team in 2009. Baldwin was also the crew chief for Blaney during the six races the Ohio native drove the No. 36 Tommy Baldwin Racing Chevrolet in the 2010 season.

DAYTONA 500 WINNERS -- Baldwin led Ward Burton to a Daytona 500 win in 2002 while at Bill Davis Racing. Current head mechanic James Bartok and shop foreman Jimmy Rollins were also a part of the 2002 Daytona 500 winning team.

LIGHTHOUSE MISSION -- The Lighthouse Mission logo will adorn the No. 36 TBR Chevrolet for the 2011 season, debuting this weekend in the Daytona 500. TBR has teamed up to help the Long Island based charity to build awareness and raise funds for Lighthouse Mission. For more information on Lighthouse Mission, visit www.lighthousemission.net.

Dave Blaney:

ON RACING AT DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY -- "I'm excited to get the season started. Racing with TBR a little last year, I feel like we can really hit the ground running. We were pleased with our times in the test. The guys have worked on some things since the test, so I am excited to get on the track and see where we stand."

Tommy Baldwin:

ON TBR AT DAYTONA -- "We came to the test and tried some things and were happy with our lap times. We came home, worked on some few things and went to the wind tunnel. Our team has worked really hard, and I can't wait to get the No. 36 on the track for the Daytona 500."
