Notes: Both the Nextel Cup and Busch Series will compete on the same tire codes this weekend at Dover . . . this is the second consecutive race that Nextel Cup teams will run this combination of left- and right-side tires at Dover . . . in addition to this track, major NASCAR teams have and will run this combination at California, Charlotte, Chicagoland, Michigan, Kansas and Kentucky in 2004 . . . that makes this the eighth of 10 races that Cup teams will run this tire set-up this season . . . teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Dover . . . the air pressure in the inner liners must be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Tire Development: "Since we have softened the compound on the tires we bring to Dover last year, we have seen some very competitive racing at the track. These particular tire codes make up the most popular set-up we will bring to the track in 2004. Cup teams have run this set-up seven times already this season, including at Dover in June. Having said that, they should have a very good understanding of how these codes work under race conditions."
