Notes: Both the Nextel Cup and Busch Series will compete on the same tire codes this weekend at Dover . . . this is the second consecutive race that Nextel Cup teams will run this combination of left- and right-side tires at Dover . . . in addition to this track, major NASCAR teams have and will run this combination at California, Charlotte, Chicagoland, Michigan, Kansas and Kentucky in 2004 . . . that makes this the eighth of 10 races that Cup teams will run this tire set-up this season . . . teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Dover . . . the air pressure in the inner liners must be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

These particular tire codes make up the most popular set-up we will bring to the track in 2004. Cup teams have run this set-up seven times already this season, including at Dover in June. Having said that, they should have a very good understanding of how these codes work under race conditions."
