Notes: This is the same combination of left- and right-side tires Goodyear has brought to Rockingham since February 2001, making this the sixth consecutive race with this set-up at "The Rock" . . . this will be the seventh and final time Winston Cup teams will compete on these tires this season . . . other NASCAR tracks where teams ran this same combination this season were Bristol, Darlington and Las Vegas . . . both the Winston Cup and Busch Series cars will compete on the same tires this weekend . . . as on all ovals longer than one mile, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Rockingham . . . inner liner inflation should be 12-25 psi higher than that of the outer tire.

Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Tire Development: "The main issue at Rockingham is the rough track. With the surface being so abrasive, teams will experience high wear and give-up over the course of a fuel run. But with that being a well-known fact, it's not really a great concern because it's already factored in. As always at Rockingham, the teams that have the best set-ups and the drivers who are easiest on their tires will experience the least amount of give-up."
