Notes: Teams in both the NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch Series will run the same tire codes this weekend . . . this is the first time Goodyear has brought this specific combination of left- and right-side tires to the track . . . this left-side code (D-4076) is new to the Goodyear tire lineup and was tested during the Busch Series' open test at Las Vegas in February . . . this right-side code (D-4022) was designed for the new track surface at Charlotte and run successfully at that track in 2006 . . . while this left-side is unique to Las Vegas, this right-side is scheduled to be run at Charlotte again this season . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Las Vegas . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Goodyear Quote -- Greg Stucker, Director, Race Tire Sales: "The speeds we saw at the Nextel Cup open test at the end of January were more than a second per lap faster than what we saw at our tire test with Greg Biffle and Kyle Busch at the track in December. As a result, we are bringing back a different left-side code to Las Vegas for the race, one which we were able to test at the Busch Series open test and is a bit harder. The right side tire we have for Las Vegas is the same one we brought throughout testing and is the same robust tire that was specifically designed for the new Charlotte race track and produced trouble-free racing at both events there in 2006."
