Bombardier Recreational Products will be ready to rumble during Speedweeks 2016 as its popular Can-Am brand becomes the title sponsor for the Duel at Daytona.

The Can-Am Duel At Daytona will feature two 150-mile qualifying races which will set the field for the 58th running of the Daytona 500. The races are scheduled for Feb. 18.

“We’re excited about developing this new partnership with BRP, the world leader in recreational vehicles,” said Joie Chitwood III, President of Daytona International Speedway. “With two thrilling and unpredictable 150-mile qualifying races, the Can-Am Duel At Daytona will provide a great platform for BRP to promote their Can-Am products and the ‘World Center of Racing’.”

The announcement comes one day after BRP revealed its sponsorship of the No. 32 GoFas Racing Team and drivers Jeffrey Earnhardt and Bobby Labonte in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series to its dealers and distributors on Friday night. Can-Am will be the primary livery for 11 races as Earnhardt campaigns for the 2016 rookie-of-the-year.

The Can-Am brand will also support Alex Labbe’s championship bid in the Canadian Tire Series. The 22-year-old St, Albert, Quebec native has two poles, four top-fives and eight top 10 finishes in the NCTS.

“BRP and its Can-Am products are synonymous with innovation and performance in the powersports industry,” said Anne Belec, senior vice president, Global Brands and Strategy. “We feel that there’s a natural fit with NASCAR racers and their fans. Thanks to our association with Kappa, Cyclops Gear and the Go FAS race team, we are now a sponsor in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the title sponsor of the Can-Am Duel — the ultimate test before the Daytona 500.”

Sports enthusiasts have enjoyed Can-Am ATVs for more than 30 years. Based in Valcourt, Quebec, BRP also produces motorized recreational vehicles and powersports engines which are manufactured in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Finland and Austria. BRP’s distribution network includes 4,200 dealers in over 100 countries.
