TBR AT POCONO – TBR’s start this weekend will be the team’s fourth start at the Tricky Triangle and the first full-scheduled race. The team’s best start was 39th in the August 2010 race driven by Casey Mears.
BLANEY AT POCONO – The 5-hour Energy 500 will be Blaney’s 23rd start at the 2.5-mile triangle. He scored two top-10s in his 22 starts. He collected his best finish of ninth in the August 2003 race. The Hartford, Ohio native posted his best starting spot of 14th in the June 2007 event while driving for Bill Davis Racing.
CHASSIS NO. 910 – Blaney will pilot the No. 910 chassis. TBR previously ran the chassis at Darlington Raceway and Texas Motor Speedway. The team finished 24th and 30th, respectively.
LAST RACE RECAP: STP 400 – The No. 36 Accell Construction Chevrolet started from the 42nd spot, and Blaney drove up to the 32nd position quickly. The TBR team worked to improve the handling of the No. 36 Accell Construction Chevrolet, and Blaney held on to finish 32nd in the 400-mile event.
IN THE POINTS – The 32nd-place finish in the STP 400 extended the TBR team’s lead over 36th, and the team tied the No. 51 with 203 points in the NSCS Owners Point Standings, giving the No. 36 the 32nd spot. Blaney held onto the 31st spot in NSCS Driver Points, 21 points behind David Gilliland in 30th.
