Mike Davis has joined the staff of fingerprint inc., the media relations and publicity agency for the Anheuser-Busch sponsorship of Dale Earnhardt Inc.'s No. 8 Budweiser team and driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. Davis joins fingerprint inc. effective January 1, and will be coordinating media requests and publicity for Earnhardt Jr. and the DEI No. 8 Budweiser Nextel Cup team.
Davis, a native of Ringgold, Ga., most recently created and directed the in-house publicity program for the Ultra Motorsports Nextel Cup team. Prior to that, he worked for The Motorsports Decisions Group and was a sports writer and columnist for the Albany Herald in Albany, Ga.
Davis, 27, has a degree in Journalism from Georgia Southern University, where he was on the staff of the athletic department media relations program. He was married to his wife Sarah in November 2003.
"I feel like I've signed the first pick of the draft," said Jade Gurss, owner of fingerprint inc. "Mike has immense creativity and has shown an innate understanding of publicity in his short time in the NASCAR garage. He will bring a lot of energy and new, creative ideas to the Budweiser program."
fingerprint inc. was formed in 1999 to provide media relations and publicity services for Budweiser's NASCAR Nextel Cup sponsorship of the No. 8 team and driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
