Joe Nemechek will drive the No. 34 Ford for Front Row Motorsports at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend.

Nemechek is subbing for David Ragan, who is filling in for Kyle Busch in the No. 18 M&Ms Toyota as the Joe Gibbs’ racer recuperates from injuries sustained in a wreck during the XFNINITY Series race at Daytona International Speedway last Saturday.

"It is great to be back in the NASCAR Spring Cup Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway," Nemechek told Motorsport.com. "I have worked with Front Row Motorsports, but I know David Ragan and the rest of the guys have run well. I have worked with (crew chief) Derrick Finley before - as he used to be my lead engineer.

"I am looking for very good things this weekend."

Nemechek, 51, has three top fives and seven top 10s in 38 starts at AMS. His best finish on the 1.5-mile track came while driving the No. 25 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy in 2002. Nemechek has four career Sprint Cup wins.

The affable veteran is also scheduled to compete in the Camping World Truck Series race in the No. 8 D.A.B. Constructors Inc./SWM International Inc. Chevy for NEMCO Motorsports on Saturday. Nemechek is sharing driving duties in the family's truck this season. Son John Hunter, 17, will make his first start of the season at Martinsville Speedway on March 28.

Bobby Labonte has been mentioned as a fill in for the No. 34 FRM Ford for Las Vegas.
