Gibbs quartet at the top of the charts in Saturday morning practice

Carl Edwards led Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, and Denny Hamlin in the 50-minute morning practice.

Things weren't all positive for the JGR squad though. Busch, who scored pole position yesterday, just about lost it in the final moments of practice. ""He about busted his tail right there," said spotter Tony Hirschman. "Not working," responded Busch.

His elder brother Kurt Busch was fifth, the best of the Chevrolets. "Drove into the tunnel turn like I owned it and I was going to the log jammer ride," he said over the radio. His Stewart-Haas Racing teammate and championship leader Kevin Harvick was far from happy with the car, telling the team "it drives terrible" after posting the 18th quickest time.

The struggle to regain their edge over the competition continued for Hendrick Motorsports today. Jimmie Johnson was their fastest driver in tenth and Dale Earnhardt Jr., who swept the Pocono races in 2014, was the slowest in 23rd. "Chattering the left front all the way through the center. We still have the same issues, but it's a clean lap - less hustle."

Travis Kvapil, who got a piece of the wall, was the driver not to post a time. Three drivers (Kurt Busch, Paul Menard, Denny Hamlin) ran the most laps at 25 each.
