The DEWALT Power Tools team's weekend began with a 27th place qualifying effort. Kenseth was 9th fast in practice and had a chance to start the race in the top-10. Unfortunately, he got loose off of turn four, prior to taking the green flag for his qualifying run.

After qualifying Kenseth said, "The car was just real loose coming off of turn four, and I almost spun around. Luckily, I saved it. Its unfortunate for this team, because I had a lot better car than that run showed."

When the green flag dropped on the Harrah's 500, Kenseth worked his way through the field. He was as high as third and running as fast as the leaders at times. Kenseth was bumped by the No. 40 car of Sterling Marlin on lap 148 causing damage to the right front fender, right near the headlight of the DEWALT Ford Taurus. After that, his car became very tight.

The DEWALT crew worked hard to fix the car making air pressure and track bar adjustments all day, but the car never came around. Kenseth then got loose in the upper groove and tagged the wall on lap 276. He damaged the alignment and had to make three pit stops for the team to realign the car. Kenseth only lost two laps for the incident, and crossed the finish line in 20th position.

Today the DEWALT line consists of over 200 electric power tools and over 800 accessories including: drills and hammer drills; screwdrivers; circular, chop, miter, table, reciprocating, and jig saws; planers; impact wrenches; die, angle, and benchgrinders; shears; nibblers; sanders; laminate trimmers; routers, and platejoiners. This year will be an exciting time for DEWALT as it offers its largest product launch ever -- even greater than the initial product line introduction.

Quoting Driver Matt Kenseth: "I'm not sure what we were missing there, but it was something big. I have no idea what happened. It was really bad all day long. I just made a mistake. I just got into the corner on the outside of turn one and got up in the gray stuff and spun out. Our car was pushing real bad up to that point and we made some adjustments to make it freer. We never could get it loosened up all day and it got loose on me there. It just got away from me. It was a tough day. I don't know what we're missing or what we're doing wrong. I don't know how we went to junk in no time after our first stop. I'm just not sure."

Quoting Crew Chief Robbie Reiser: "Our team has gone through some changes here in the past week or so. I think there is something missing too, but we are going to keep on working on it. This is nothing we can't overcome. I tell these guys every week before every race, 'no mistake racing' and I think at some point things will all fall into place for this team."
