The driver of the No. 42 Target Chevrolet posted the top single lap speeds in all three practices at New Hampshire Motor Speedway — including Happy Hour with a single lap run of 132.577mph.

“I felt good about it in race trim,” Larson said. "Our short run speed is really good. I fall off a little bit too much compared to other people, but I’m sure there are some things I could do differently to help that out. Our car though this last practice was really good, I thought. We made some big improvements from the first practice. First practice I was extremely loose on entry. With this last one I felt better with that and drive off stayed good. I just get a little bit too tight past the middle of the corner. We’ve got to work on that a little bit.”

Denny Hamlin (132.549mph) was second quick followed by Kasey Kahne (132.489mph), polesitter Carl Edwards (132.420mph), Jimmie Johnson (132.255mph), Martin Truex Jr. (132.250mph), Matt Kenseth (132.222mph), Kyle Busch (132.213mph), Kevin Harvick (132.186mph) and Alex Bowman Jr. (132.071mph).

The remaining Chasers — Chase Elliott, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart ran 11th through 15th, respectively, while Jamie McMurray was 18th, Austin Dillon was 22nd and Chris Buescher brought up the rear in 28th.

Kyle Busch’s 57 laps were the most completed during the session.

Edwards, who will start on the pole for Sunday's race, was fastest among the 34 drivers who ran at least 10 consecutive laps during the practice session with an average lap speed of 131.663 mph.

Harvick was second-fastest, Larson third, Kyle Busch fourth and Johnson fifth.
