RYAN NEWMAN (No. 12 ALLTEL Dodge Intrepid) - Finished Fourth NOTE: Newman scored his sixth top-five finish in the past eight races and moved from 16th to 13th in the NASCAR Winston Cup Standings "We're happy to get out of here with a top five and gain some points. The crew did an awesome job with this ALLTEL Dodge. The car was pretty good. We didn't have anything for the 48 and I don't know what happened to the 24. We've got a pretty good track record here in the Winston Cup Series. Hopefully we can carry it on to Pocono."

"We had a close call out there when the 99 and 23 got together. It really surprised me. I don't know if the 23 broke loose or what, but he totally took out the 99. I'm sure it wasn't on purpose, but we were in the right spot at the right time in that deal. We were lucky to dive low and get past that one."

"We can think we've got things turned around all we want, but the bottom line is we've got to buckle down and keep our nose to the grindstone. That'll take care of it. My car was really tight there at the end, and we were in a fuel strategy mode. We did about all we could do. We moved up a little in the standings, and we're getting closer to the top 10, so all-in-all, it was a pretty good day."

JIMMY SPENCER (No. 7 Sirius Satellite Radio Dodge Intrepid)

"We had a top-five car that finished 15th today. I'm pretty upset right now, so I better not say too much. The car was tight at the beginning and we got real lucky. Jeff Gordon was about to lap us and then the caution came out. It kept us on the lead lap, and then Tommy Baldwin (crew chief) went to work. We made so many changes to the car during the first three pit stops, and it made the car real good. We got blocked in on a splash-and-go pit stop, so we ended up coming in and not even stopping. Then we got spun out, so that's the way it goes."

BILL WILBURN (Crew chief No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Intrepid)

"We didn't run very good today. We got run into a few times today, but that doesn't happen if you're driving away from them, and we didn't do that today."

JEREMY MAYFIELD (No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Intrepid)

"You're going to have days like this. It was a bad day, but we've got to overcome it. It could have been a lot worse. We were looking for another good day, but that's racing sometimes. We'll get 'em next week at Pocono."

BILL ELLIOTT (No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Intrepid)

"It looked like we were headed for a decent finish, but we had to come in for fuel with a few laps to go and that pretty much took care of that. We didn't have anything to lose, so we gambled and it didn't work out this time."

STERLING MARLIN (No. 40 Coors Light Dodge Intrepid)

"We cut a tire down early. We thought we had a pretty good car when the race started. We brought out a caution, came in and got the car fixed. We kept running and running, and the car got tighter and tighter. I don't know if we had a slow leak and just pulled the tire off or what. I hate it for all the guys on the Coors Light Dodge team. We either run good or bad here at New Hampshire. I either run good or terrible, but it was a terrible day today. It's really, really hard to pass here. They made another groove it seems like, but you can't get any bite off the corner. It's just a tough place to pass. You can get up under somebody, but it's hard to complete the pass. It's still real hard to pass here, but I guess we don't have to worry too much about that now."

JAMIE McMURRAY (No. 42 Havoline Dodge Intrepid)

"It hurt my lower back a little bit, but it looked worse on TV than it really was. I hit the wall at Vegas earlier this year, and it wasn't anything like that. I really don't know what happened. I thought I had a flat tire. I radioed in the lap before that I had a left front flat. We were just going to ride it out. I about wrecked in turn three and then I got to turn one and did wreck. The tire still had air in it, so it was just one of those deals. I ran so high in turns three and four and got so much buildup on my tires. I was just trying to get it off before I got down into turn one. That was a problem. It was a pretty hard hit, but it looked worse than it felt like. It's so hard to pass here. We ran 30th almost all day long. We missed the setup pretty big today. We adjusted on it and once we got up front the car was pretty good once we got in clean air. I feel like we could have put it together. It could have worked out with pit strategy in our favor."
