Concord, NC-- Roush Racing's Mark Martin was victorious after 600 miles and grabbed a million extra dollars on top of that. Martin was one of five contenders competing in the No Bull Five program.

Martin's Coca Cola Racing Family 600 win gives him his 33rd career win. Martin promised his team if they won the 600, he would split his million dollar bonus with them. "I'm gonna keep a little bit of it." Martin said from Victory Lane. "I can't win a race in a slow car. They gave me the lead with four tires and everything was perfect."

Martin was excited about his win. "I don't know if I'm ever gonna win another one. You better believe I'm gonna party all night ."

Rookie pole sitter Jimmie Johnson dominated the race and lead 263 laps but lost the lead under a late race in the pits under a caution flag which came out after he spun out the 23 of Hut Stricklin.

The new engine package has had fans from both sides of the fence in the garage area since it came into affect at the beginning of the season. Jeremy Mayfield, Joe Nemechek, Mike Skinner and Kurt Busch all decided to change engines over the weekend. They all had to forego their starting position and drop to the rear of the field.

During the race, Penske rookie Ryan Newman, who started fourth, Dale Earnhardt Jr, who drove in the top 10 most of the night and defending 600 winner Jeff Burton, blew their engines over the course of the 600 mile race.

Richard Childress Racing driver Robby Gordon completed the Indy-Charlotte double. After running 500 miles and surviving a pit fire at Indy and finishing eighth, Gordon had a long night in Charlotte and finished 16th. Throughout the race Gordon complained of side cramps and was given side padding as well as bananas and juice for energy.
