ELLIOTT SADLER:
"We've certainly stepped up with our qualifying effort in the last few races, but we haven't had the same results in the race. We had a very good car last week, but ran into problems. It's disappointing, but we're confident we're making significant progress with our COT program and the effort will start showing up in the race. Martinsville is a test of patience. Not just your patience, but the patience of all 43 drivers. When somebody loses patience, it usually means trouble. You just hope you're in front of that situation. The key will be keeping our Dodge Avenger clean the first 400 laps. If we do that, then it could be a good day for the 19 team.
QUICK FACTS
* Sadler's best finish at Martinsville came in the spring of 2003 when he finished fifth.
* Throughout his 17 career starts, Sadler has led 49 laps at the tough .526-mile track.
* He has accumulated just two DNFs in his 17 starts there.
* In the past seven races, the No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge has qualified in the top 15 six times.
