Hendrick Trial Posponed again

Rick Hendrick's trial on bribery charges has been postponed a second time because of the Winston Cup team owner's failing health. Hendrick is undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia, diagnosed shortly after he was indicted in December on charges he bribed Honda executives to receive favorable treatment at his dealerships. He has pleaded innocent. U.S. District Judge Lacy Thornburg, who earlier moved the trial from March to August, listened to conflicting medical testimony before agreeing to a postponement to Sept. 22. But another delay is unlikely. "This time should be well spent in trial preparation," he said.
