Said, 54, will make 17th — and final run with CircleSport Racing on the 2.45-mile track where he has a podium finish and two top-10s. The New York native has 53-career Cup starts with two poles (Sonoma and Daytona), two top fives (Daytona and the Glen) and eight top 10 finishes.

“The track, area and fans at Watkins Glen are some of my favorite in the world,” Said said. “After 31 years, I’m still excited like a little kid at Christmas to race at The Glen. Genesee’s sponsorship has turned into a great partnership over the past few years, and I hope I put on a great show for them and the crowd this year.”

Said’s two-career NASCAR wins came on road courses. He won in the Camping World Truck Series at Sonoma Raceway in 1998 and at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal in 2010.

“Genesee Brewing Company is thrilled to be a sponsor and partner of Boris Said for the fourth consecutive year,” said Matt Goldman, channel marketing manager of Genesee Brewing Company. “The race in Watkins Glen is a great opportunity for fans to get out and enjoy a Genesee while watching Boris tear up the track.”

Said Heads can visit their favorite driver during the Genesee Brewing-sponsored farewell tour. His upstate New York appearances include stops at Wegman’s in Corning (4:30-5:30 p.m.) and the Watkins Glen Tops Market (6:30-7:30 p.m.) on Friday, Walmart in Painted Post (4:30-5:30 p.m.) and Watkins Glen (6-7 p.m.) on Saturday and will cap off following Sunday’s race at the iconic Seneca Lodge in downtown Watkins Glen.
