Penske duo lead opening Sprint Cup practice in Las Vegas
The Team Penske Fords of Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano posted the top two speeds in the first practice at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday.

Keselowski topped the chart with a speed of 195.327 mph. Logano lagged slightly behind with a lap of 195.263 mph — just 0.009-seconds behind of his teammate’s lap of 27.646-seconds.
Las Vegas native Kurt Busch, who is still looking for a win at his hometown track, was third quick with a speed of 195.235 mph followed by Paul Menard (194.496 mph) and Brian Vickers (194.398 mph), substituting for Tony Stewart.
Five Chevrolets rounded out the top 10 with the Hendrick-powered cars of Kasey Kahne (194.189 mph), Kevin Harvick (194.126 mph), Jimmie Johnson (194.126 mph) and Chase Elliott (194.105 mph) settling in on the sixth through ninth times with Ryan Newman in a Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet posting the 10th fastest time (193.952 mph).
Hendrick’s fourth driver — Dale Earnhardt Jr. — was 15th on the speed chart with a lap of 193.659 mph.
Michael Annett ran 23 laps — the most of the session. he was 26th quick with a lap of 188.022 mph.
Five drivers — Denny Hamlin, Clint Bowyer, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Josh Wise and Matt DiBenedetto were docked 15-minutes of practice after their teams were late for practice last week.
Brian Scott was the only driver to run 10 consecutive laps. His average speed was 185.682 mph.
