Driver Earns First 2010 Victory After Excelling at Demanding Raceway

McHenry, IL (May 3, 2010) Kyle Busch made it a double shot of dominance Saturday night with his second consecutive victory in the Crown Royal 400 at Richmond International Raceway. After winning the Crown Royal 400 on his 24th birthday in 2009, Busch led 226 of the 400 laps in this year's race before beating Jeff Gordon to the checkered flag by .755 to earn his first victory of 2010.

Busch's 17th career NASCAR Sprint Cup win gave Raybestos® brand brakes, a member of the Affinia Group family of brands, a third NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win of 2010. Also, JGR continues to dominate short track racing having already won two of three short track races this season after winning six of nine short track events in 2009 while using Raybestos brand brakes.

"We had some good stopping power," Busch said following the race. "I really thank the manufacturers of Raybestos products and all the work that they do to give us the best brakes out there. It's a big deal at the short tracks. You have to have the best brakes in the business to compete and Raybestos are the best brakes. We've gotten a package that really works for our cars and the guys have really worked on it."

The Raybestos® Sprint Cup braking system that Busch relied on at Richmond features ultra-lightweight aluminum alloy six-piston calipers - the stiffest and lightest calipers available in all of NASCAR. The innovative calipers were developed using Raybestos technology partner Alcon's state of the art "optimized design" process, and include an asymmetric body design and advanced between-piston and crossover cooling features. The new Raybestos® Short Track brake package also provides for the largest brake pad volume (surface area) and largest rotor (13.15" outside diameter, and 1.65" thick) available in NASCAR.
