Tire Codes: Left - D-6804; Right - D-6806

Tire Circumference: Left - 87.9 in.; Right - 88.4 in.

Technical Inspection Inflation:
Left Front - 30 psi; Left Rear - 30 psi
Right Front - 55 psi; Right Rear - 50 psi

Minimum Recommended Inflation:
Left Front - 27 psi; Left Rear - 27 psi
Right Front - 50 psi; Right Rear - 45 psi

Estimated Pit Window: Every 32-36 laps, based on fuel mileage.

Notes: This is the second consecutive race Goodyear has brought this specific combination of left- and right-side tires to Talladega . . . this is the only NASCAR track on which these tire codes will be run in 2004 . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Talladega . . . the air pressure in the inner liners must be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Tire Development: "This is the only track where these tire codes are used, although this set-up is similar to the one run at Daytona. Both tracks share the same construction, but have different tread compounds. Daytona is more of a handling racetrack than Talladega and requires a grippier compound. The compounds for Talladega are unchanged from 2003 and have been in use at the track since 1997."
