"M&M's" Crispy Chocolate Candies Fast Fact...

The "M&M's" Crispy Spokescharacter did such a great job running from the competition at Daytona in July the team elected to bring back the "M&M's" Crispy Chocolate Candies paint scheme for one more trip to the track. The No. 36 Pontiac will be metallic blue with Crispy, the orange character in the "M&M's" cast, on the rear quarter panel. "M&M's"=AE debuted the paint scheme debuted earlier this year to promote its newest brand, Crispy Chocolate Candies.

"M&M's" Racing Team Talladega Superspeedway Highlights...

* Superspeedway racing has been good to the "M&M's" Racing Team in 1999. In three starts on the circuit's fastest tracks, the "M&M's" Pontiac has two top-14 finishing positions, both at Daytona International Speedway.

* The "M&M's" Pontiac got its best superspeedway finish at Daytona in July, which was also the last time the team ran the Crispy paint scheme. The "M&M's" Pontiac took the checkered flag at the season opener in Daytona in the 14th position and followed that up with a ninth-place finish under the lights in July.

* "M&M's" Racing Team driver Jerry Nadeau earned his first top 10 of the season at Talladega in April of this year. Nadeau started from the 20th position and improved 12 positions to finish eighth.

* The "M&M's" Racing Team has a strong performance record in 1999 at tracks two miles or greater in length. In nine starts, the "M&M's" Racing Team has five finishes in the top 14 as well as an outside pole position. The team finished 14th in Daytona, seventh in Michigan, eighth at Pocono, ninth at Daytona and 11th at Pocono. The outside pole position came at Michigan in June.
