NASCAR Winston Cup Series Tests Resume July 14-15 at IMS

NASCAR Winston Cup Series teams will continue testing July 14-15 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in preparation for the 10th annual Brickyard 400 on Sunday, Aug. 3 The hours of testing each day are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with a lunch break for drivers and teams from noon-1 p.m.

The Speedway's MCI Media Center will be open to credentialed media during practice hours. Media parking is located in the gravel lot directly behind the MCI Media Center Unlike previous years, the 2003 tests are not mandatory for teams. A complete testing roster for July 14-15 follows Eleven NASCAR Winston Cup Series teams tested July 8-9 at the Speedway. Tony Raines, from LaPorte, Ind., was fastest in the No. 74 BACE Motorsports Chevrolet at 179.918 mph.

Although the tests are private, the public can view testing free of charge from the South Terrace grandstands, located inside the track between Turns 1 and 2
