Conway Ready to Give New Spoiler First Real Test at Texas
Team Prepares for Spoiler at the Mile-and-a-Half Track

Statesville, N.C. (April 13, 2010) - Leading NASCAR Cup Series Raybestos Rookie driver Kevin Conway and his No. 38 ExtenZe Racing team are getting geared up to head to the fast, 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway this weekend for Sunday's running of the Samsung Mobile 500. The team is looking to improve on their season's best intermediate track finish of 31st thus far, which took place at Atlanta Motor Speedway -- a track similar in size and shape.

Texas will be the third mile-and-a-half track of the season for the team. In each event, Conway and the ExtenZe team have captured the Raybestos Rookie of the Race Award. Conway won the award again after beating fellow Cup Series Rookie competitor Terry Cook in Phoenix to extend his lead in the season-long rookie competition.

Conway now leads Cook by 41 points (66-25) in the Cup Series Raybestos Rookie standings entering this Sunday's event. Conway has one start under his belt at Texas Motor Speedway and that came last year in the Nationwide series where he finished 20th after starting 31st.

ExtenZe Racing Driver Kevin Conway Comments on Texas Motor Speedway and the New Spoiler at Texas:

"We go to some tracks where you really feel the speed, but Texas Motor Speedway is definitely one of the fastest racetracks that we go to. Atlanta is fast, Charlotte is fast, but Texas is one of the fastest if not the fastest speedway we race on. It's a great track, and one that a lot of guys like going to. I don't have the experience like the others right now, but I've got a feeling that I'm going to like it, too.

"Like we did at Vegas and Atlanta, we are going to have to work on the balance of the car and get it better each day before the race. It seems that we are getting better on the mile-and-a-half tracks, and I know I'm getting more comfortable. But, everyone will be figuring out the spoiler this time around, too. We had a test session at Charlotte, but this is our first time in race conditions. There are some unknowns.

"Texas is going to be a big test for everyone. We have to study what the car needs. It'll definitely be the first test for us at a racetrack of that speed with the rear spoiler. Martinsville and Phoenix gave us some information, but nothing like Texas. It's going to be interesting to see which teams can hit on something or not.

"I think everyone knows the key concepts. Texas really gains a lot of banking as you enter the corner. I think the key is to keep the car turning all day while not being too free on entry. We're going to concentrate on that and see if we can get a good-handling car for Sunday.

"This ExtenZe Racing team is really working hard right now. We're making some gains and getting the experience we need. The goal is always to learn as much as possible. The tracks like Vegas, Atlanta and now Texas are very aerodynamic-dependant. We are getting a little bit better each time and that's our goal again this weekend. We want to be better than where we were after Atlanta."
