"The points have really tightened up, so we really need a good finish this weekend. We have run great all year long and we need to make sure that we continue to do that. With seven points separating fourth to seventh in points, it's more important than ever to have a good run." - Ward Burton, driver of the Caterpillar Racing Pontiac

POCONO RACEWAY PENNSYLVANIA 500

BURTON ON POCONO - "We've always run good at Pocono. Some don't care for the way the track is set-up, but I like it. We had another great run going last month, but got put into the wall with 13 laps to go. A lapped car slid up the track and put me into the wall. We had to go to pit road for tires and our good finish went out the window. We had run in the top 10 all day - we just weren't able to finish there. I am sure the CAT team will give me another great car for this weekend's race."

BALDWIN ON POCONO - "We built a brand new car for this weekend's race. Although it's never been to the wind tunnel or been tested, we know it is going to be a great car. We built it off the specifications of the car that won Darlington. We know that is a great car and we'd take that car this weekend, but we're getting it ready for the Brickyard 400.

"The most important thing right now is to have a decent run or we could slip way back in the points. We've been in the top five in points since we won at Darlington and I want to make sure we stay there. There are a lot of teams running real well, so we need to continue to do what we've been doing and that's having consistent runs."

TESTING AT INDY - "We tested the car we won at Darlington," said Baldwin. "We're going to race that car at the Brickyard 400. It's a great car. We mainly concentrated on race set-ups during the test, so we weren't at the top of the speed lists. If we had made a qualifying run, we would've wound up somewhere around fifth or sixth on the speed chart"
