Gordon, Pruett And Blaney Set To Visit Pit Terrace Hospitality

Watkins Glen, NY (August 8, 2001) - Watkins Glen International announced today that all pit terrace customers will be treated to an exclusive question and answer session with three NASCAR Winston Cup drivers on August 12, the morning of the Global Crossing @ The Glen. Robby Gordon, driver of the No. 31 Lowe's Chevrolet, Dave Blaney, driver of the No. 93 Amoco Dodge and Scott Pruett, driver of the No. 01 Cingular Wireless Dodge will be available from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in the pit terrace hospitality village, located directly behind the grandstands. A very limited number of pit terrace tickets are still available for fans wanting to get into the action for just $225.00 and includes four-day reserved seating.

Gordon has run strong at The Glen in years past, including a third-place finish in this year's NASCAR Busch Series GNC Live Well 200. Pruett holds the NASCAR Busch Series track record with a pole speed of 121.052 mph set earlier this year in his first start NASCAR start at the historic road course. Blaney will attempt to qualify for the third race at The Glen. His best finish came in 1999 when he finished eighth in the NASCAR Busch Series event.

Pit Terrace gives fans the opportunity to experience NASCAR racing in a premier location on the front stretch along pit road, putting you right in the center of pre-race activities, pit stop action, start/finish and Victory Circle celebrations. Pit Terrace also includes infield parking, a limited edition souvenir hat upon entry to the facility, a NASCAR Cold Pit/Paddock pass and access to the Pit Terrace Hospitality Club, complete with food, beverages and entertainment Saturday and Sunday.

The 2001 Global Crossing @ The Glen Winston Cup weekend August 9-12 features dramatic racing by the premier drivers in stock car racing, including three-time winner at The Glen Jeff Gordon and the reigning Global Crossing @ The Glen winner, Steve Park. Complementing the Winston Cup race is exciting sports car racing on Friday night with the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series in the Bully Hill Vineyards 250 and Saturday, the rising stars in the NASCAR Busch North Series take the green flag in the "Little Trees" 150 presented by Pepsi.
